Nike Smoke improvents:

The Nike Smoke is now shipping with the new nose cone covers. The new parts are one piece vacuum formed covers that replace the 1/64" plywood and pins. If you have a kit that uses the 1/64" plywood and pins for nose cone covers and would like the upgraded parts please e-mail me with a request. The upgraded parts are free of charge. This upgrade is only recommended for unbuilt nose cones.

Kit upgrades:

The recovery system in all kits except the Vostok have been upgraded! 1/16" galvanized aircraft cable has replaced the existing shock cord mount. Also, the shock cord mount now comes preassembled, no more need to crimp the ferrules onto the cable. The 3/4" flat braided shock cord has been replaced with a 5/32" round bungee cord. The bungee is custom made in red. Even if it doesn't help visibility during recovery, it still looks really cool! The screw eye that attaches to the nose cone/transition has been replaced with a smaller one that is more suitable to the new shock cord. The screw eye now threads into a plastic anchor that increases the thread size to help prevent balsa separation. Most importantly, these upgrades come with NO price increases!
